The Sunday Profile publishes a public magazine. Reading it does not require an account. This policy describes what the site stores, what it does not, and how to ask about information that relates to you.

Who we are

The magazine is published at thesundayprofile.com. Editorial and privacy mail goes to desk@thesundayprofile.com. Pitches and business enquiries go to thesundayprofile@gmail.com.

Data we collect

When you read a page, the host keeps an ordinary server log: the address requested, the time, a user agent, and an IP address. Those logs are used to keep the site available and to investigate abuse. They are not used to build a reader profile, and the public magazine does not ask you to sign in.

If you email the desk, we keep that correspondence so we can reply, correct a story, or handle a privacy request. Please do not send passwords or payment card numbers. The magazine does not take payment on this site.

Editors and writers who use the desk have accounts. We store a name, an email address, a password hash, a role, and the articles they save. Article text, covers and revisions live in our database because that is how the magazine is published.

Cookies

The public pages do not set an advertising cookie and do not require a consent banner for a reader account, because there is no reader account. The editorial desk sets one HTTP-only session cookie after a staff member signs in. That cookie is used only to keep the session. It is not available to page scripts.

Analytics

The public magazine does not embed a third-party analytics product, advertising pixel or social tracker. We do not sell reader data. Hosting logs, described above, are the record of a visit.

Third parties

The site is hosted on Vercel, which serves pages and writes the request logs. The database is MongoDB Atlas. Photographs are stored and delivered by Cloudinary. Mail you send us is handled by the email provider for the address you wrote to. Those companies process data only so the magazine can be hosted, illustrated and answered. We do not pass your email address to them unless you send it to us.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete correspondence and account data we do not need to keep a published story accurate. A published article is a public record of the magazine. Removing a fact from it is an editorial correction, handled under the editorial policy, not a silent edit.

Write desk@thesundayprofile.com with the subject “Privacy” and enough detail for us to find the message or account. We will reply to the address you used. If you are writing from outside the country where the desk keeps its records, the same address still applies.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. The current version is the one published at this address.
