The Terminal List Season 2 premieres on Prime Video on Wednesday 21 October 2026, with all eight episodes released at once in more than 240 countries and territories, including India. Chris Pratt returns as Navy SEAL Commander James Reece. This season adapts Jack Carr's second novel, True Believer, and turns the revenge story of Season 1 into a global spy thriller. Here is the release date, story, cast and what to watch before it drops.
The Terminal List Season 2 release date
Amazon and Deadline both confirm a 21 October 2026 premiere for all eight episodes, exclusive to Prime Video. It arrives nearly five years after Season 1's debut, which Amazon calls record-breaking. The franchise has passed 100 million viewers worldwide, according to Amazon. In the US, Prime Video comes with Amazon Prime ($14.99 a month or $139 a year). In India and other markets it comes with local Prime plans.
What is The Terminal List Season 2 about?
In True Believer, Reece has finished his list and is looking for a new purpose. Amazon calls it a journey of "violent redemption". He uncovers a conspiracy that runs from Moscow to Langley and ties into his own family's history. Where Season 1 was a psychological revenge thriller at home, Season 2 moves across the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East and Europe, Deadline reports.
The Terminal List Season 2 cast
Returning from Season 1:
Chris Pratt as James Reece
Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings
Constance Wu as Katie Buranek

Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry
New this season: Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us) as Freddy Strain, plus Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Arnold Vosloo, Martin Sensmeier, Shiraz Tzarfati and Jeremy Bobb.
Who makes the show?
Pratt executive produces through Indivisible Productions, alongside writer-showrunner David DiGilio, author Jack Carr, Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick (Fuqua Films), former Army Ranger and writer Max Adams, and former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw, who is also a writer, actor and technical adviser. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, MRC and Civic Center Media. Amazon says military veterans worked on the season as writers, actors, technical advisers and directors, including former Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza (Warfare).
Pratt called the season "a love letter to the Special Operations community" in Amazon's announcement.
What to watch before 21 October
Season 1 and the prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf are both streaming on Prime Video now. If you are new to the franchise, Season 1 is the key catch-up: it sets up Reece's list, Raife Hastings and Katie Buranek, all of whom return. The trailer is on Amazon's official page and Prime Video's channels.
Quick Season 1 recap
Season 1 (2022) adapted Carr's first novel, The Terminal List. After Reece's platoon is wiped out in an ambush overseas, he comes home with gaps in his memory and slowly realises the mission was no accident. When his wife and daughter are murdered, he writes a list of everyone responsible and works through it. Season 2 starts from that point: the list is done, and Reece has to work out what he is fighting for now.
People also ask: how many episodes are in The Terminal List Season 2?
Eight, all released on 21 October. Episode titles and individual synopses have not been published yet. TMDB and episode trackers list eight episodes with no titles so far.
